- Mojito-Shoes
So far we know of footwear that covers the entire palm of the bottom. Often the contours of high heels and materials that do not fit a foot discomfort when walking and causes many problems in the legs. It feels like legs freed from all parts of shoes that make your feet are sore. True? Get ready, because the existing shoe design. It is an an award-winning architect in London, Julian Hakes, who was thinking about footwear design in general. He thought about why each of footwear always need plates along the soles of the feet, especially for high heels. Then when Hakes see foot marks in the sand, it is clear to him that the foot is actually only need two points to support the load of the body, namely the heel and sole of the front.
The design consists of a string of wide arc that just wrapped around the important parts, namely in the palm of the front curved toward the bottom of the heel and then wrap up the heel. Because of this shape, Hakes dub as Mojito shoes because the shoes look like strands of lemon zest served in a glass of Mojito cocktail.
According to Hakes, if the heel and front foot well supported, then we do not need a foot plate which is usually tormenting it. Thus, if using these shoes your feet will feel comfortable and who definitely will not be sweating from the heat. For matters of convenience, the shoes ‘wrap’ it uses carbon fiber as its core in order to remain flexible and strong, then coated with leather and rubber for the soles of shoes.
Once published on September 23, 2009, Mojito design shoes got a huge response even to Gizmodo, a blog famous America, directly load it and broke through the 100.000 visitors in a short time. Reportedly, the design of this shoe will soon be mass produced as a practical footwear innovation, comfortable and efficient materials. But it seems that these shoes only for use indoors. If built the roads, can make you frequently wash your feet because the soles so easy to get dirty!
